Fire | Explorer Post 9764

Grand Chute Fire Explorer Post 9764 was formed in March of 1988 to provide a learning environment that fosters teamwork, leadership, and builds friendships that will last a lifetime. The Grand Chute Fire Department oversees the Post, while advisors from local fire departments and EMS services provide additional guidance.

Our Post is organized to suit the needs of the young adult; it consists of young men and women between the ages of 15 and 21 who are provided an opportunity to work closely with service professionals from local police, fire, and EMS agencies. Explorers participate in Fire Suppression, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) training, Ice Rescue, Search & Rescue, and many other activities.

These hands-on experiences provide Explorers with an exposure to a variety of careers and a valuable network of community contacts. We are proud to have Explorers from Post 9764 move on to serve in local fire and EMS services, including: Grand Chute, Neenah-Menasha, Green Bay, Appleton, Hortonville, New London, Greenville, Ellington, Center, and many more.

Currently, our Post consists of 15 Explorers and 7 Advisors. We meet every Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. If you are interested in joining, we hold an open house and membership application process every fall.
