You must bring your permit to Fire Station #1 or Fire Station #2 for validation. Do not mail them. Renters need the property owner's signature on the form.
For recreational fires, barbecue pits, portable fire pits, and outdoor fireplaces no larger than three feet (3') by three feet (3'). Permitted on properties zoned agricultural or residential and occupied by a single or two-family residence. Burning leaves, yard waste, or brush is prohibited. Valid for the calendar (January 1 - December 31) year.
Recreational Fire Permit
For burning leaves, brush, and other vegetative debris. Property must be zoned agricultural. Valid for the calendar (January 1 - December 31) year.
Agricultural Burn Permit
For bonfire no larger than ten feet (10') by ten feet (10') and four feet (4') high. Property must be zoned agricultural. Valid for one (1) day.
Bonfire Permit
Allows for the clearing of lots and burning of clean wood only. Burning garbage, trash, refuse, flammable liquids, and/or combustible liquids in any form is prohibited. Valid for one (1) day.
Commercial Burn Permit
For prairie and/or wildlife habitat management. Valid for two (2) weeks.
