TENNIS LESSONS: 2011

Group lessons for boys and girls will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays of each week at Lions Park in Grand Chute beginning on June 6 and ending on July 13.  Classes will be coed and will be grouped according to ability and age as follows:

  • Elementary:  Grades 3-5,  1:45-2:45 PM
  • Middle School:  Grades 6-8,  12:45-1:45 PM
  • High School:  Grades 9-12, 11:00-12:00 N

Class sizes will be limited to twelve (12) students, however, extra classes will be added if necessary.  Adult lessons will meet once a week on Mondays from 10:00-11:00 AM and/or 2:45-3:45 PM.  (Note: Alternative lesson times may be worked out to fit the schedule of adult students.)

Lessons will be taught and supervised by Tom LaFountain: USPTA Developmental Coach, High School Coach of 30 years and Ranked State Player.  A skilled assistant may be hired as well.

Cost for all lessons is $75.00.

BASEBALL

Grand Chute Baseball is a youth baseball program for area children ranging from ages 5 through 18. Levels of play include:

  • T-Ball for ages 5-6
  • Rookie for ages 7-8
  • Kid-pitch/Minors for ages 9-10
  • Majors for ages 11-12
  • Ages 13, 14-15 and 16-18 will have Traveling Teams

There are no residency requirements or restrictions to participate. All games are played on weekday evenings. A fee is due at registration and an additional fundraiser is required.

SOFTBALL

Grand Chute Girls Softball is a youth softball program for girls in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Levels of play include:

  • Coach Pitch League for K to 2nd grade
  • Cadet League for 3rd to 5th grade
  • Junior League for 6th to 9th grade
  • Senior Team for 10th to 12th grade, Traveling Team

There are no residency requirements or restrictions to participate. A fee is due at registration.

SWIM PASSES: 2011

The Appleton Parks and Recreation Department (APRD) sells swim passes good for admission to open swim, lap swim, water walking, and swimnastics at Erb, Mead, and West Pools through December 31. Download the form below for more information.
