MISSION

Our police organization is guided in our operation by laws, ordinances, procedures, rules and regulations. The Department motto, "The safety of the people is the highest law," sets the tone of our values. Our values establish our hopes for the future of our community, our profession, our agency, and ourselves, incorporating:

Trust. The community entrusts us to provide enforcement of their individual rights. The Grand Chute Police Department is also entrusted to maintain the quality of life in our community, and we are committed to that effort.

Objectivity. Keeping the public peace is our duty. This requires us, as individuals, to set aside personality and personal feelings to objectively perform our duty as police officers. We support and abide by the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics.

Access. All law enforcement, including the Grand Chute Police Department, is a social service. We are entrusted with providing fair and open access to our services.

Safety. The Members of the Grand Chute Police Department will provide an equal balance between enforcement & citizen safety and security.

Teamwork. The Grand Chute Police Department is part of the legal and judicial system. We must work in concert with the entities of the entire system through coordination, communication and cooperation. We believe in organizational teamwork, mutual support, and open communication to ensure effective and efficient police services to the community.

We recognize that this set of values, this philosophy of policing, will always be a yardstick against which we must measure our efforts, our program regulations, our priorities, and ourselves. Whether sworn law enforcement officer or civilian employee, full or part time, we are proud to espouse these values.
