|July 22, 2019 - Tree & Branch Cleanup
Update – 8/05/19
Town crew is still collecting tree and brush from the storm that was placed roadside by Sunday, July 28.
Townwide Tree & Branch Cleanup – 07/22/2019
Due to the recent storms, the Grand Chute Department of Public Works will be providing a town-wide tree and branch collection from the road right-of-way beginning on Wednesday, July 24th. There will be no limit as to the amount that can be placed out for collection. Please have it out as early as possible to assure that it is picked up, but to ensure pick-up by Town forces have material to the road by no later than Sunday, July 28th. During this special collection, trees need to be cut to a maximum of 8-foot in length. Branches are to be no larger than 12-inch in diameter. Brush should be no shorter than 3-feet in length. The maximum size limits are due to the truck capacity while the minimum size limits are due to the fact that the piles will be picked with a large grapple hook.
If you would prefer to haul the brush away on your own, Grand Chute has an agreement with the City of Appleton which allows Grand Chute residents the use of the City of Appleton’s Yard Waste Sites. Brush piles smaller than the above description should be brought to these sites by residents as well. Both sites (701 S. Whitman Avenue and 2625 E. Glendale Avenue) will be open during regular hours Friday through Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. To help with cleanup, the Glendale Avenue site will be open additional days this week. Glendale will be open Tuesday, July 23rd through Thursday, July 25th from 9:00 a.m. until 6:45 p.m.
